Welcome to Carlton le Willows Table Tennis Centre, home to one of the UK's best school-based Table Tennis programs and state of the art purpose-built facility in partnership with Nottingham Sycamore. Our exciting programme offers a pathway from beginner to elite with players playing recreationally as well as some players being ranked top 10 in the country for their age group. We also have links internationally, and players have visited both China and Sweden, two of the world's Table Tennis superpowers.
For those joining us for the first time, we hope you have had a good summer, and raring to get going with another year. We want to take this opportunity to bring you up to speed with some exciting developments we have planned across the table tennis program for this academic year.
We are in the process of swapping our equipment supplier to Donic, which is distributed through a company called TopSpin Sports. As a valued member we are able to offer a great discount so should you want any Donic branded equipment, we will have a copy of their brochure in the social area, but you can view their website here:
2020 - 2021 Timetable and costings
We have produced a new timetable (although quite similar to last year) but we have had to take into account the COVID pandemic, and are proposing a temporary timetable which will change during the term based on restrictions changing and attendance levels at particular session. We will be trying to determine which sessions will be attended and may have to swap sessions around. We will be asking for your to book and confirm which sessiosn you woulld like your child to attend. FYI We are introducing our new Hopes Squads, which will be open for any primary aged children who wish to progress their game to a higher level, we will be offering 3 sessions across the week. These sessions were previously exclusive to a particular Primary School, but we wish to bring those players together, and give those players an opportunity to attend more than 1 session a week. We are also continuing our pathway of Discovery and Aspire groups, with the Aspire B group looking to accommodate the secondary children who wish to progress their game to a higher level. The Programme details including costings (same as last year) and squad descriptions can be found in last year's brochure and can be viewed in the centre or here.
Our provisional program can be viewed here which we will be reviewing at the end of September for an October start.
How the Payments work
The payments are calculated on a term-time basis and then split into 12 equal monthly payments making a cheaper monthly payment, thus an expectation that payment will still be made in all year round and continue year on year.
We hold various competitions at the centre, which include Nottingham Junior League, National Cadet/Junior League, 1* and 2* Junior Competitions, and weekly league matches on Wednesday and Thursdays.
If you wish your child to enter any competitions, please speak to Chris, Jason or Harvey
We have been running sessions throught the summer based on guidance set by Table Tennis England, and for your peace of mind, you can review our policy and restrictions we have put in place, this document can be viewed on CLW website:
